Like every country, Thailand has its rich and its poor. Apparently someone is looking after this guy, though. Note the hand truck used to "park" him. His clothes look neat. Clearly, though, he's seen some hard times.

Do you ever pass people like this and wonder about their story? When I used to live in Chicago I would stop and ask. This can actually be dangerous, since some (though not all) people in desperate straits are there because of something you really don't want to be involved in and probably can't help them with. Somehow I don't think that's the case with this guy, though.
