We had our first light frost in Northfield on the 16th of October 2008.

This photo is of the garden at 203 Woodley, draped with plastic and tarps. Annuals will be safe for another day. Eventually a hard frost will come and I'll have to give up, but I hope not before our big pumpkin is ripe.

We see here the Carleton College central green or "Bald Spot," just past peak autumn foliage color.

Jariya had a hard time getting out of bed sometimes this week.

Depicted are three trees Jariya and Richard planted. They're either natural dwarf trees or on dwarf rootstock. They'll stay small.
